Working with Web Profits – FIIG


My name’s Fraser Thomson. I’m the Head of d=Digital at FIIG Securities. FIIG had been around for twenty years this December. The biggest challenge we had before we worked with Web Profits was that digital, as a whole, wasn’t working as hard as it should have. It wasn’t that strong, so I really needed to get some expertise on board. That’s why we looked for Web Profits. Digital marketing is really important for our business, because we’re still a growing business. We’re really looking for client acquisition, and digital, as you expect, is very good for driving new leads and new acquisition to our business. We started working with Web Profits in December 2016. We were looking for an agency who could provide all services for digital. We used to use lots of different agencies, which was a bit of a pain point, so Web Profits were able to provide a service which covers everything with digital, with growth marketing, and it has been really successful in probably the fifteen months since then. I would describe Fluid Marketing as a one-stop-shop for all our digital requirements. I get access to expertise across all different channels, whether it’s SEM, SEO, CRO, across all the board. So we have access to all of that as opposed to just one specific specialty. So working with Web Profits, and I think one of the best things is that they’ve really spent a lot of time trying to understand our business and also our customers. And as a result of that, what’s happened is we’ve got a really strong strategy which builds a line to our business but also, most importantly, to our customers. Web Profits have delivered a huge amount for the business. We’ve seen our total leads for the business has doubled, particularly if you look at search marketing. The effectiveness is probably tripled from what we used to do. When Web Profits come out with a strategy, I know it’s been proven already and it’s successful and I’ve got a confidence level I can use it for my business. The strategy has changed quite a lot over time. When we first started with Web Profits, we were spending a lot of money with Facebook, and after some analysis realised that Facebook wasn’t working as strong as it should have been. So Web Profits recommended that we switch spending from Facebook into Google’s Display Network. And as a result, for the same amount of money, we’re getting a lot more leads. I think Web Profits will continue to work with us in the future by continuing to give us a strong strategy, helping us to optimise our campaigns, and to drive further new leads into our business. For any company thinking about working with Web Profits, what I’d say is I really highly recommend it. Web Profits provide a great service, an understanding of your business, a passion for digital, and as a result of that, deliver a lot of results.
