Why Elastic Path


We’ve never been afraid of really being on the leading edge of technology or even on the bleeding edge of technology. I mean we were one of the first platforms to really come out and utilize open-source as part of our core. You know it started with us reflecting on that mobile movement and recognizing that from a technology architecture perspective, we had to create a platform that could enable shopping experiences in any digital touch point. We were the first that really made this focus on flexibility, so that customers and brands could really do whatever they wanted on the platform. And those were big, big evolutions for us. When we think about our role in this market, really revolutionizing commerce, we’re really focusing on a new breed of consumer. On a consumer that is inundated by digital technologies: smartphones, tablets, wearables, connected devices. And that’s what led to this idea of headless commerce and we pioneered that. We were the inventors of that. In the first couple years when we brought it out it was pretty new. In fact, there was kind of crickets, but going down the world now it’s become broadly accepted as that’s the way that commerce technology should be delivered. And what that does is it opens up opportunities for manufacturers, for brands, for retailers, to create a deeper connection with those customers and allow them to purchase, or transact, or interact with those brands regardless of where they are in their world. Regardless of where they are in their journey with those companies. And so for us at elastic path revolutionizing commerce means making it easy and democratizing the ability for any company to empower any of those experiences with commerce. As I look around to everyone in the industry competitors, some of our partners, they’re all following us with their product strategies, with their marketing messages and that’s when I realized how much impact we really have on the e-commerce industry globally. And that’s pretty exciting. We continue to be on that leading edge of e-commerce and we will continue to do that
