What is a Marketing Ecosystem and why you need it for business success.


Welcome to another episode of Around the Block Talk. I am Los, your host and this week we’re going to be talking about marketing ecosystem. What is a marketing ecosystem you ask? Well if you do not have one you are probably struggling with your business in terms of getting the right sales, getting the right brand awareness and really taking your business up a notch. A marketing ecosystem is what every business needs. All the major companies in the United States and around the world understand what a powerful marketing ecosystem is all about and have spent effort, time and money in creating their marketing ecosystem. So let’s talk about that. What is a marketing ecosystem? Well a marketing ecosystem is kind of like an ecosystem of nature. What do you think when you hear the word ecosystem? You hear trees, you think about air, you think about water, you think about the entire ecosystem of our earth for example. Well a marketing ecosystem is similar to a natural ecosystem. So before I break down what a marketing ecosystem is, ask yourself– do you want a successful business? Do you want your business to grow? Do you want to bring in more customers quickly and more easily? If you said yes to any of these you are definitely going to want to pay attention to what the marketing ecosystem is because with the properly developed marketing ecosystem you too will be able to reach all of your business goals whether it’s sales, increase your number of customers, increase your web presence or your brand awareness, any of those and more you will be able to reach and achieve with your marketing ecosystem. No two marketing ecosystems are the same. Why? Because your business is not the same as everyone else’s so your marketing ecosystem should be designed and created especially for your business, for your business goals and the outcome that you desire. A marketing ecosystem contains all the crucial elements of marketing needed for finding your customers effectively and efficiently. We define the marketing ecosystem by seven pillars. These seven pillars are the crucial components that you need for your business and I don’t mean just your business, every single business needs this marketing ecosystem and if you look around the major players, the big companies out there, they’re all using all of these. So what is in a marketing ecosystem? It’s seven pillars and these seven pillars are branding, video, website, social media, photography, digital marketing and sales strategies. Those seven pillars are the most crucial components of everyone’s business. A properly developed marketing ecosystem should have all seven pillars working harmoniously with each other. That’s what makes your marketing even more powerful. So ask yourself do you have only a website? Do you have a Facebook account? Do you send out emails? Do you have any sort of campaigns that you air on the Internet via YouTube or videos? If you said yes to maybe one or two of these, that is great. You’re on your way to creating your own marketing ecosystem but you have to ask yourself another question. Are they working harmoniously together to reach your perfect customer? You see that’s what a good marketing ecosystem is designed to do. A good marketing ecosystem will help you create a balanced marketing platform where all of your pieces are working together. You see without a good marketing ecosystem you are running the risk of not fully reaching your potential. You run the risk of not finding the right clients and your perfect customer. Your marketing ecosystem will help you hone in on your perfect customer and bring them to you. That is what your marketing ecosystems will do for you. It’s kind of like a net. When you have all of the seven pillars running together harmoniously it’s like a big net in the sea and with a bigger net you’re able to catch more fish. So it’s very important that you look at your marketing ecosystem and compare it to your competitors making sure that you have in place the proper accounts, the proper content and the proper strategy so that you can cast your marketing ecosystem net out into the sea of customers and bring in more sales. There is no way that you can look at a business and your marketing and not have all of your marketing pieces running together harmoniously.
