  2. Really good video Dan. I like how the event is separate from the meaning but through lack of awareness we merge the two together without even noticing. If the meaning that is attached to the event is negative then i find I can stew on it for days and waste so much energy on it in the process. I'm going to try this this as if I can intercept them counter productive thought patterns then the event can be processed and filed quicker freeing up that lost energy to move forward. Again great vid.

  3. Just to give you an idea of how the notion that starting our own business is impossible .
    Some time ago i went to see someone for help because the conditions at my job where driving me nuts.(witch didn't help B.T.W.)
    when I mentioned that i would like to start my own business, she replied "But you need contacts to start a business!"
    I didn't say anything but i thought to myself "i can forge my own contacts, people are not born with contacts!!"
    Now i fantasize that when my business becomes successful , I slide a business card under her office door with my website on it,
    and write on the back:
    " Next time one of you're clients says he/she wants to be there own boss… Send theme to my site."

  4. As for point #4, I have read an article in bicycling magazine where Amanda Batty talks about risks. She says that we keep treating risks as though they where going to kill us. She suggest that we ask ourselves : if this or that happens, will i die. And as long as we are still alive, we can still take risks. Then i think of Col H. Sanders who lost everything at the age of 66. He knew that he could still cook and fry chicken… and the rest is history.
