Top 5 Analytics Tools 2018. Adobe Analytics

Hi, this is Andrey Osadchuk. In this video
I’m going to show you top 5 analytics tools in Adobe Analytics. let’s get
started. The very first analytics tool I want to show you today is called Adobe
mobile services. This user interface is used for mobile application analytics. When you log in you will see this report which is kind of primary
dashboard for your mobile applications and I’m going to show you a few other
reports so that you will get an idea how this tool looks. The next report I will
show you is called users and sessions and here you have an option to select
any metrics that you want by default there are three metrics users launches
and first launches and again you see a trend that graph but you can remove some
of these metrics or replace then with the other metrics you can also add new
metrics and get a breakdown by day by week by month and this will give you an
idea how your traffic will just launches or growing or going down cetera the next
interesting visualization is called retention and this is a cohort analysis
this is currently configured for six months and the next one is called
versions this report is showing you how many visitors how many users are using
which version of your application and again you can see it in a trended mode
which is very helpful and finally what I wanted to show you today is technology
or review so you can select device type and see that this is the number of users
from smartphones this is the number of users from tablet and this visualization
is clickable so for example I can click here and get an idea how many users
from smartphones and then I can even click further trouble here and this will
be kind of filtered now I can see number of those who are
using iPhone 4s or iPhone 6 plus and this is how this user interface works
this is a short overview that’s why I will stop here but I also want to tell
you that this is not the only user interface that you can use for working
with mobile applications and stay tuned you will see more the next analytics –
I’m going to show you is called reports and analytics this is another capability
within Adobe Analytics and probably this is the most commonly used user interface
for website data analysis when you log in you can see such a menu that contains
reports and metrics and if you want to run a report just find it and click I
will run key metrics report this report is showing me three metrics how they are
changing over time and if I want to I can update the list of these metrics I
will just click on the metric button and on the left hand side I will get a list
of the metrics I have access to and for example I can uncheck pageviews and add
bounce rate and I can also change the sequence of this matrix so for example I
will updated so that unique visitors will be the first metric and we’ll click
apply to run the report with the updated list of metrics now the report is ready
and you can see that I almost can’t see how bounce rate is changing on the chart
and this is because the axis the vertical axis
is using episode numbers or what I can do in this case go to configure graph
and either remove the bounce rate if I don’t want to have it on the chart or I
can just enable a normalization of the data and this is a better way if you
want to have it visualized there we go now we can see a correlation between
traffic metrics and the bounce rate also what you can do here as with all other
reports you can download a report in different formats you can send it so for
example you can schedule this report to be sent on a weekly daily monthly basis
you can also add this visualization to the dashboard now let’s have a look at
another type of reports that you can find here so if I go to the menu and for
example I want to get an idea from which traffic sources the traffic comes to the
site I can start with the referrer types report and it will show me a traffic
split among search engines referrers which are other websites in this table
direct traffic and social networks these are for default buckets that you can
expect out of the box then for example if I want to I can break down one line
by another report or dimension so I can click here and I will select referrers
or referring domains to break it down and I can do this with any of the
Alliance example let’s go to social networks and look at referring domains
to see what social networks are bringing traffic to our site there we go and now
we can see the referring domains under social networks
hope this gives you a very short overview about what reports and
analytics UI is and let’s have a look at another tool if you work with Microsoft
Excel then you may want to use Adobe logics report builder which is an add-in
for Microsoft Excel and this adrien helps you to query analytics data and
get the result directly to the spreadsheet so now let’s have a look how
it works I will need to go to the create dialog and here I can select what type
of data I’m interested in so for example I will look at just totals of different
metrics or I select site metrics then I select date range that I want to use for
pulling the data from analytics server then I also want to set a daily break
down and go to the second step of the configuration and here I just need to
select the metrics that I want to use so I will be using for example unique
visitors and I will add this metric to the table and once I added that metric I
can see how the table will look like and I will also look for another metric and
and will add this metric to the table as well so here you can see how the table
will look like if I like that I then continue and click finish and now
I need to select the cell where the data will be placed I’m selecting the cell
and wait for getting the data there you go so the date is here and now
you can prepare different graphs you can manipulate with the data report builder
is also a great option if you want to combine the data from different report
sweets since here you can add as many requests to the netic server as you want
and every request may have its own configuration so for example just let’s
add one more this time I will continue with the traffic sources and I will
select a referral type as a dimension and now we’ll get aggregated numbers for
the last 30 days period and this is again how the table will look and I will
need to add a metric and I will look for the metric will add the metric and now
I’m good to go I also can update the headers I will in this case disable high
date range and this will help me to help on this single line as a header and
we’ll click finish there you go now we have total numbers
of unique visitors for all thorough types and the benefits of user report
builder is also that you don’t need to expert manually the date and then paste
it to your spreadsheet to keep it updated so every time when you open this
spreadsheet it will be automatically refreshed you can also keep the
formatting that you have so for example I will add formatting and will refresh
the request and just to demonstrate I will change the date example what if
today was twelve of April and I want this unique visitors for the last 30
days as you can see the data has been
refreshed but the formatting hasn’t changed then if I want to I can also
schedule this spreadsheet to be sent by email to myself and my colleagues and
the beauty of that is that this will be sent in the form of debt I will save the
spreadsheet in and I don’t need to touch it anymore so my colleagues will get
trampled on Monday this table refreshed and imagine that health here I can have
lots of different graphs added and all of them will be also refreshed so this
is Analytics report builder this is ad hoc analysis this is another analytics
tool within Adobe Analytics primarily this is used by analysts and they do
this to is to have real-time segmentation capabilities and you can
very quickly manipulate with different data points and let me show you how it
works so for example I will start from scratch and will click on the ranked
icon and this will open such a configuration where I can select which
rows I want to help in my table and which columns basically in most of the
cases by rows I will be using dimensions and by columns I will be used I will be
using metrics so for example I want to look at the traffic trend on my website
or traffic trend in my mobile application doesn’t matter so first I’m
going to for a dimension which will be a Anti drag-and-drop day to my rows then I
will need to pick a few metrics so I will take Wizards
and we’ll also look for bounce rate and also we’ll add this metric to my
accounts finally I click on this blue button to get the report the report
consists of two parts the first part is the chart and I will get rid of it and
the second part which is the table with dimensions that I specified here and
metrics now if I don’t need it I can close the Builder and get this set of
data then if I want to I can also have another breakdown here so for example
what if I want to break down every day by traffic source so I can look for
another dimension here which will be referring a referral type and we’ll just
drag and drop it under the day dimension and now I can specify how many values I
want to show for each of the dimensions and I can also specify how many
dimensions I want to break down by the next dimension in the list so for
example here by default I can see five dimensions values and that will set it
to three and we’ll click on the replace table button as you see now I have a
breakdown of first three days in my table you can also use the segmentation
capability without updating this table so for example what if I want to look at
social networks so I will drag and drop referring the means just under social
networks and this will give me another break
right away if I want to I can also add some other things like for example I
will add even refer to facebook.com there you go
this is how it works and the great thing about ad hoc is that you can do as many
segmentations on the fly as you want and you can have here lots of different
reports because here you start with a workspace then you have different
reports that you can specify here and very quickly switch between them you can
also make the things like that when you have a few reports opens next to each
other for example if I edit here I can see on 3 different visualizations and
this is only my first workspace I can add more workspaces and this is a very
convenient tool for those who work with data analysis so if you were probably
1880 90% of your time working on the analysis probably this is the best –
from the ribbon Enix offering this was ad hoc analysis and
now let’s have a look at the fifth tool that I wanted to show you today this is
analysis workspace one of the most comprehensive robust analytics tools on
the market and this is a part of other the analytics this is the place where
you can do the analysis prepare reports prepare and share dashboards collaborate
with your colleagues analysis workspace provides very rich visualization options
it also provides you machine learning algorithms that help you to identify
anomalies and factors that contributed to the
anomalous this is probably the best tool to start with and to continue it this
helps you to not only analyze your website data but also mobile
applications and other digital properties that you may have connected
to a Davina lytx this is the to where you can also analyze the performance of
your email marketing campaigns powered by the campaign here you can also
analyze your audiences that are automatically synchronized between
audience manager and Davina Linux so basically this is the greatest point
where you can do analysis reports dashboards and collaborate with your
colleagues on the data this is analysis workspace this is it
this were five analytics tools that I wanted to show you today if you have
questions leave them under this video in the comments and if you want to get to
know more about analysis workspace as well as about other tools that I showed
you stay in touch subscribe to this channel and you already can find other
videos dedicated to announce this workspace just look for them in this
channel thank you for watching and see you next time bye

  1. Thank you very much for this video! Can you please help me to understanding how fallout works in AA? For example I have 5 steps: CategoryPage-ProductPage-ShoppingCartPage-CheckoutPage-ThankYouPage. And i have non-required step between ShoppingCartPage and CheckoutPage. This is RegistrationPage step (for example i have 60% orders without registration). Should i include this step in fallout and how this will affect the results?
