you’re one for us was all about scaling just straight tech infrastructure year two is about building a data competency that many companies wouldn’t be developing until five or six years in and thanks to the AWS marketplace we’re able to use best-in-class tools to enable us to build out our data infrastructure and learn more about our customers and scale our data quickly my name is Nick green I’m the co-founder and co-ceo of my market bribe market is a membership platform that is on a mission to make healthy living an affordable and accessible for every American family the way it works is that members pay a sixty dollar annual membership fee and they get access to a catalog of healthy natural organic products at twenty five to fifty percent off and we not only provide a membership to those who are paying we also donate a membership to a low-income family every paid member on the site we chose AWS for the simple reason that it was scaleable and we knew that it works for both small businesses and huge businesses we knew from the beginning that we were gonna go fast we didn’t realize how fast we were going to grow and we’re just really happy that we made that decision has it enabled us to seamlessly transition from a zero size business to over one hundred million dollar run rate fourteen months in the main technical challenge that you face in the data world is having to collect information from many different sources bring them into your environment and connect them together in the past we have used Microsoft sequel to load our enterprise data warehouse environment that specific load would take over five hours to complete in contrast by using matil ian we can load up the data warehouse every thirty minutes every hour and it takes about five minutes to run with the use of Mattila detail for red ship and the red ship databases we have been able to aggregate all that data from all the sources and bring it in every hour to create a 360-degree view of the customer so the combination between red ship and matil ian has allowed us to play in a big data environment where we’re moving over 10 million records per hour to create our EDW we decided to use tableau meets our marketing analytics feat we picked it up from AWS marketplace because it allows us to try and test before we have to commit also AWS marketplace allows us to do an hourly version of the software where we can expand to our needs as we move forward we decided to go with a hundred user license we were up and running in two days we didn’t have to spend months procuring and stalling and making sure that the software works AWS marketplace allows us to keep all the billing for all the vendors in one place so it’s very convenient for us to be able to keep track of our monthly charges and/or software charges in one place so one of the coolest things for us is that we’re not just deploying amazing technology in order to solve business problems we’re actually doing this on a social problem so the fact that we’ve been able to scale as fast as we have and use amazing tools like AWS AWS marketplace to make that possible has enabled us to really fulfill on that mission and to do so at a speed that would otherwise be possible
