Email Marketing 360® – Marketing 360® Platform Demo


– Hey, this is JB with Marketing 360. In this screen cast, I’m
gonna walk you through Email Marketing 360 within Marketing 360 where you can find it, a
high level understanding of how it works and how you can use it to help grow your business. So first off, let me show
you how to get there. You can get to the email
product in two different ways. You can click on Marketing and then click on Brands/Other Channels and then click on Email
Marketing 360 here. That’ll take you there. And then the other way,
if you’re using the CRM, you can go to the email
product directly from the CRM by clicking CRM and then over
here on the right hand side, clicking on Campaigns. That will also activate
the Email Marketing 360 So either way works. Let me take you on a quick walkthrough of the lay of the land
here so you understand what’s where and then we can dive into a little more detail here. When you first get here, the
first tab that’s activated is the Overview tab. The Overview tab’s gonna
show you a couple things. Recent Drafts, these
are gonna be campaigns that are saved but they
have not been sent. So these could still be edited
before you send those out. Down here, you’ll see
recently sent campaigns and you’ll see any campaigns
that have recently been sent and you can click on those to enter into the reporting of the campaign and see all the different metrics, how that campaign performed et cetera. Over here on the right
hand side you’ll see there’s a lot of additional
reports so don’t miss those. You can drill down into those as well, such as this world view where you can see a report geographically
of where everybody was that opened your email,
it’s actually pretty cool. All of these reports over here I think as you drill down and look into these, these are gonna be very valuable to you to understand the insights
and the performance of your campaigns, so
take a look at those. The campaigns tab is very
similar to the overview tab in the sense that you
see your recent drafts and you also see your sent campaigns. From here, this is where you would go to start a new campaign. You would just click the
Create new campaign button over here on the right hand side and then follow the steps,
it’s pretty straight forward. I’ll walk you through this in a moment. The Automation tab is very powerful. This is where you’d go to
build automated journeys. So if you’re using the CRM in particular, you could build automated
journeys for your leads or your accounts, or really
any segment of customers or contacts within your
CRM that you would like. You can also use automation
by integrating forms and whatnot on your website. So to understand this a little better, let me show you an example here. If you dive down into these
discover journey ideas, there’s actually some
pretty good ones in here. So I’m gonna go ahead and
navigate toward one for you. So here’s an idea, a customer
signs up on your website by filling out a sign up form. They then receive a
welcome email automatically from the automated journey,
and then you set it up so a day later they get
a How It All Works email, which is another email
explaining how your product works or your system works
or your process works. And then three days
later, the automation tool checks to see if your
last email was opened. If it was opened, basically
you get the Brand Value email. But if it was not opened, we
resend the How It Works email and then three days later, you then get the Brand Values email. So this is just a rough example of how automation can work for you, how using this product can automate a lot of your sales processes
or customer service processes, really increase the value of your business and the satisfaction
levels of your customers. So think about how this
might make sense for you. If you have questions, just contact your marketing executive. They’d love to kinda walk you through the process a little bit more. To start a new journey,
I would just click here, Create a new journey,
and follow the steps. And I’ll show you that
in a moment as well. List of subscribers is where you should go to upload your list of contacts and/or connect your list
of contacts to the CRM so that it builds those
lists in an automated way. And so it’s pretty straight forward, you would just click Create list and then you can upload a CSV file or a spreadsheed that you
might have saved on your end or if you’re using the CRM,
you can actually create a custom list within your CRM, such as all of your hot
leads that are 30 days old and then in this column
here you can simply click assign to campaign and you would just assign it to a list within the CRM, which would reside in this list tab here and that would sync up
those lists automatically. So essentially any time
a lead in your system is within 30 days old,
they’ll automatically be added to that email list and when
they’re older than 30 days old they’d be taken out automatically, you’d never need to lift a finger. So two different powerful
options within the CRM list. You can upload a list
or you can dynamically build a list and auto populate it. And I will walk you through creating lists here in a moment as well. My Templates is where you would go to find your email templates. So several options here,
you can start from scratch, you can see recently sent emails and use those as a starting point, you can even upload your own
HTML if you’re capable of that. And then lastly, you can choose a design. And really, this is the main option. This would be the most popular
option ’cause there’s really a lot of great starting point templates that you can choose from. Let me go ahead and show you. So as you can see, there’s a lot of nice email templates that
are great starting points for your email marketing campaigns. You can simply click on
any of these templates that look good to you and immediately start editing those templates. It’s simply a click and drag type system Click and edit type system. You don’t need to know any
code or anything like that to edit these emails and use this tool. Over here on the left hand
side there’s some filtering. So for example if I want to
see feedback related templates I can click there and I can see these different starting point designs and I can see here that
I can quickly click on one of these and begin editing it. It’s actually really powerful. And then lastly, there’s
the Help tab here. The help tab is where you’ll wanna go if you have any questions
or problems along the way. You can just click that,
search what you have a question on here and see if
there’s some documentation that can help you. There’s also some categories over here. This is a great place to go to learn, if you just wanna learn a little bit more beyond this screen cast
about how to use the system, this would be what you wanna reference. And then of course, you can
always give us a call as well. We’d be more than happy
to help you walk through everything for you one on one. Great, well now that we have
a high level understanding of what’s where, let’s go ahead and build a campaign
together here real quick. So I’m gonna click on Create new campaign. Right here I’m gonna have the opportunity to name this campaign. This is really for your own
organizational purposes. Your customers that you’re
sending your emails to would not see this so
this is just for you. So I’m just gonna go ahead
and call it Demo campaign. We’re just doing a demo here. Subject line is something
you’re gonna wanna have relatively catchy so that somebody that is receiving this email or seeing this email is enticed to click the email. The subject line is highly
important with that. So I’m going to go ahead and say, “Hey,” And then I’m going to dynamically infer this person’s
first name from my list, so this’ll be, “Hey Bob,” for example. Fallback here equals customer means if I don’t have this customer’s name with their email the
system’s not gonna be able to insert the first name
so it needs a fallback. And so customer here, I
don’t like the sound of “Hey customer,” so I’m
just gonna delete that. That way if just says
“Hey,” if we don’t have the first name. And then I’m going to go ahead and put a comma here and then say, “welcome to Marketing
360,” how about that? So that’ll be the subject. Down here, this is going to be in the person’s email
inbox they’re gonna see who this email is coming from, so I’m just gonna go ahead and change this to Marketing 360 for the from. And for the from address,
I’m gonna go ahead and make this Marketing 360. [email protected] Or if I did want a reply to I could say [email protected] let’s say. Now if I don’t actually
have this email address, I just want it to look this
way in their from line, I can actually click here to set a different reply to
address, should they go ahead and click reply. So they would physically
see [email protected] in their from address, but
when they clicked reply it would go to an email
that I actually had, so that’s how that works there. Okay, I’m gonna ahead and click Next now. Next step is to pick your email template, so from here I can go ahead
and click over here on the left and let’s say I want this
feedback template here to edit, I can just simply click
on it to begin editing it. Take a moment here to load. And it’s super easy to use, essentially you have
these drag and drop tools over here on the left hand side, so as an example if I wanted
to add a little bit more space maybe under this heading,
I could grab this spacer, I could drag and drop it over here, and it adds some more space. It’s just that easy. So if I wanted to add an image, I could drag and drop that here or a button, I could
drag and drop that here That’s literally how easy it is. Now if I wanted to edit this text, I could just click here and
I could begin editing it. Uploading your logos is easy as clicking here, navigating to your file, your logo image on your
computer and uploading it. That will add your logo there. So play around with all the
different editing capabilities of these emails and I
think you’ll find that it’s actually really easy
to use and really powerful. Once I’m happy with my email here, I can go ahead and preview it by clicking the preview button over here and that’ll give me a nice little preview of what that email is going to look like. Now I haven’t edited this email and added my own pictures and whatnot, so it’s not showing me
those particular images here just yet. But if I spent some
time to edit this email or make up my own, the preview
would look really cool. One thing to mention is
the emails are responsive, so on somebody’s mobile phone like this, it looks really good, so
that’s pretty powerful. So there’s a preview of the email, so you can see what that looks like. If you’re happy with it, great, you can go ahead and move forward. If you wanna make some more changes, just click return up here on the left. That’ll take you back so
you can edit the email. But if you’re happy with it, which I am, I’m gonna go ahead and
click define recipients. The next step here is who
I want this email to go to. Now, I could manually type
in a bunch of emails here or I could past those emails
in here if I wanted to. Or I could import the
emails by clicking the Import Subscribers over
here on the left hand side, I could navigate my computer over here and find a file on my
computer like a CSV file and upload those folks into
the email here as well. There’s some tips over here
on the right hand side, so make sure to check those out. Pretty straight forward
on that front though, so for now, for this test I’m just gonna throw an email in here,
[email protected] Go ahead and import that subscriber and move to the next step. And so the next step here
is just gonna give me a preview of what I’ve done so far. So I can see the campaign
and sender information here, so this is what we walked
through in that first step. I can see the content here,
and so this is the email that I created essentially. You can click there to email it again if you decide you need
to make another edit or change just click edit here, okay? There’s a plain text
version that’s created for the email as well, just for folks that don’t allow images
with their email client, and so make sure your plain
text version is good also. Here I can see my recipients
if I wanted to remove or edit it I could click that here. If I wanted to edit, I
could also click here. I could add more recipients or maybe associate this campaign
with a different list. Okay, once I’m happy with everything here, I would suggest clicking
here to send a test email and I would just send that to myself, that’s the best way to tackle that. If that looks good and
everything checks out, then go ahead and click here
to schedule for delivery. Scheduling for delivery
gives you a couple options, you can send it immediately
by leaving it as send it now. Or you can click here to schedule it for a specific date and time. Once everything looks good to go here, you can go ahead and
schedule this campaign. Now I’m not gonna send this right now so I’m gonna go ahead and
go back at this point. And essentially, I’ve walked through the full campaign creation process. It really was that easy. So now if I go back to
campaigns over here, you’ll see that that demo
campaign is a draft campaign because I chose not to send
it since it’s just a test. So now if I did decide I wanted to send this at some point though, I could simply click here
and go ahead and send it. Or if I decided I wanted to
make some edits or changes, I could click here and
continue editing it as well. So that’s the process
to create a campaign, pretty straight forward. With automation, if you click on build a new automated journey here, you can immediately start the process. And so the process starts
by defining your trigger. So that’s what’s gonna
start the automated journey. So the first thing you wanna
do is name the journey, so I’m just gonna go Demo Journey for now since it’s just a test. You can then associate
this journey to a list, and so you can go ahead
and create a new list here, or like I talked about earlier, you can actually create
a list from the CRM if you’re using the CRM. And when somebody’s
added to that CRM list, they’ll then be added
into this journey, okay? So let’s go ahead and click here just to get this going here. So I’m gonna go Demo
List, create that list Let’s add some subscribers here. Great, so that has been added now, I can see that they’ve been
added to that list here. Go back to automation now Go ahead and redo that
now that we have a list Now you can see here it’s associated with that demo list we just created. I’m gonna go ahead and
have this journey start when a subscriber joins the list, I think that makes perfect sense. Now I’m gonna go ahead and save that So now that that is saved, I have the first part
of my journey right here so when the subscriber
joins the demo list, the next thing that I’ll wanna
do is add the first step, so I’m gonna add a time
delay by clicking here, okay? I’m gonna go ahead and set that delay here I’m just gonna set that for one day, and then a day later I
would like to send them my first email in an automated way. So I’m gonna click there. And so the first thing
I’m gonna wanna do here is actually start creating
the steps of the email, so the subject line
again like we looked at, the from, the from address,
and select the content. You can add email content
here by clicking here and it’ll allow you again
to navigate to your emails, choose the email you’d like
to send and add it here. Once I’ve done that, I can click
here and I can continue on. I can maybe add a condition at this point and add maybe Yes if they
click the email send them this, or No if they don’t click the email, send them that, et cetera. So you can get an idea here like the example we looked at earlier, how advanced you can
get with this automation and how really easy it is to
actually build out automation. I encourage you to play around with this, you’ll learn as you go. If you have questions, don’t

can always to go Help over here on the right hand
side and then essentially you can click on automated
emails over here, there’s a category for that. And I would just encourage you to read through all of
this documentation here and really get a solid understanding
of how automation works and how it can work for you. List of Subscribers is where you’ll go to see all of your lists, so you can see I’ve added a couple now. I’ve added the demo list that
we walked through earlier and so I could see all of my lists here. If I wanted to create a new list, I could simply create list here. Now if I wanted this list to dynamically populate from the CRM, I could go ahead and create a list here, give it a name of something like hot leads, for example. Then I could come over here to Lists, I could find my hot lead
list, like let’s say this one, and I could go ahead and I
could click this pencil here or click Assign to Campaign here, and I could select the list
that I created over here and that will tell the
CRM to automatically populate the CRM list emails into the Email Marketing 360 emails so you never have to lift a finger, it’s all completely automated as far as how your list is created and updated, which is really powerful. And of course earlier we looked at the email templates already
and I walked you through that, and also the help tab. So hopefully this walkthrough gives you a high level understanding
of Email Marketing 360. I think the best way to
learn is just to get in here, create an email campaign,
send yourself a test email, play with the automation tool, visit the help tab if you have
any questions along the way and really I think what you’ll find is it’s actually very easy and simple to use and can be extremely powerful
to help grow your business. Thanks for your time
