Configuring Google Product Search Uploads – ShopSite Shopping Cart Software


You can configure ShopSite to upload your products to be listed on the Google Product Search. Start by going to Merchandising>Google Services>Product Search, then click on Go To Merchant Center. Under the settings section, click on FTP. Here, you’re going to create an FTP account for Google. Enter in the username that you would like as well the password that you’d like with that username. Save Changes when you’re done and wait for this account to be activated. It may take up to 15 minutes. Once it’s been activated, return back to ShopSite and click on Configure. Change the submit method to FTP and then enter in the FTP username and password that you just created. You can change other settings on this page. The only one I’m going to change is the
reminder setting so that I get an email when my products are about to expire on Google. Save Changes then click on Send Feed. This will upload your feed to Google using the FTP information you entered. This completed the Google Product Search video tutorial.
