99.9% Of eCommerce Products Will NEVER Sell Without this! | eCommerce Marketing Strategy

– If you wanna make money from the web, it’s not as simple as
setting up a Shopify store and just generating sales. If it was that easy, no one
would be going into an office and working in the normal workforce. Hey everyone, I’m Neil Patel and today I’m gonna share why 99% of eCommerce will never sell without this. (calm beat music) Before we get started, make sure you subscribe to this channel. That way when we release
more marketing tips, you’ll get notified. Question for you. How many sales are you generating? Leave a comment below with the number. Could be five sales, 10 sales, 50 sales because once you listen to this video, you’re gonna be getting way more sales. So you wondering what that one thing is? It’s persuasive copy. No, I’m not talking about a
tool or anything like that. It really is copy. Just think of it this way,
someone lands on your site, whether you do ads or
SEO or email marketing, they check out this product
that you’re selling, but then, they don’t see much. They just see a few
sentences, maybe a picture. You think they’re gonna buy? No, that’s why over 95, 98, 99% of your visitors don’t convert. And it’s why you’re
creating eCommerce products, putting them on your
store and you’re like, huh, why am I not getting any sales? It’s because of the copy. You’re not interacting with the person. When you go to a physical
store, you’re interacting potentially with a salesperson. That salesperson guides
you, they help you, they, oh, you need this size
to try on for this shirt? Oh, this looks good, oh no, that doesn’t look
good, you shouldn’t get that, but instead, you should get this. You don’t have that on the web. So, what do you have to do
to convince people to buy? You need persuasive copy. So now that you know that
it’s persuasive copy, let’s go over a few things that you can do to make sure that your
copy is truly persuasive. One, talk about the benefit. It’s not just about hey,
I’m selling this product, it’s about the solution that, that product is giving people to their problems. For example, if you’re
selling toilet paper, and toilet paper, the one
that you’re selling is so soft people don’t have a rough bum from that, your solution is ultra-soft toilet paper. It’ll make you feel like your
bum is sitting on clouds. I’m making it up. And if your reviews on
that page enforce that, you’re gonna get more sales, right? So, you have to talk about the solution and the benefit that your
solution is providing. The second tip I have for you, persuasive copy isn’t just copy. A picture says a thousand words. So, if your pictures are amazing in your eCommerce product, you’ll do really well. Taking professional pictures, 360 degree view cameras,
showcasing your products, all this stuff will help
boost sales and conversions. The third thing, reviews. The copy isn’t just about how much can you convince people to buy your product, it’s also how much can other people convince others to buy your product. You need a lot of reviews on your site. Whether they’re bad
reviews or good reviews, let them all through because
they’ll help tell other people if they should be buying your product. And the fourth tip when it
comes to persuasive copy, you need to make sure
you go really in-depth on every little thing that
your product provides. Every feature, every
nook and cranny of it. Think about any objections
someone has when it comes to buying your product. If you answer all those
objections in the copy, you’ll get more sales. And the last tip I have for you, your copy doesn’t end
on your product page. From your checkout page
to the thank you page, all of that’s copy. If you can optimize your checkout page and be like get this delivered to you within two days,
emphasizing free shipping, things like that can
help boost your sales. Using a two-step checkout
instead of a one-step checkout, that of course, helps boost sales as well. Doing things like on your thank you page after they checkout, upselling
more products and services, that of course, boosts sales. If you do those things,

Hi Neil, my content is about urban orchards, I'm already positing YouTube content (not as often as I would like to) but in my perseption I'm selling idels (freedom, beauty, self reliance, all that kind of stuff in which I actually believe). The problem is my product… Even though I (probably) wont make a lot of money is what I want to do.

  15. I have watched and learned so much from your videos and know your time is very valuable. But my question is not about this video. Please accept my apology for asking for help here. I am 66 yrs. old and have just spent almost a year learning and building a new website with WordPress. I am to the point of putting in my PayPal Buttons. When I build my site originally 10 yrs ago with dreamweaver, I just went to PayPal made buttons and pasted in the code. Of course I did not have coupon capabilities. Well that is what I just did with the new site as you can see. But they don't work. @t It appears that I must have a "Plugin." All I need is "Add to Cart" and "View Cart" buttons with Coupon code capabilities. The only plugin that I think would work is the Simple WordPress PayPal Shopping Cart Plugin. However, from what I can understand it does not have a view cart button. It looks like it takes you to the cart every time you put something in the cart. It also appears that the cart hangs out in a side bar which I don't like. Or you create a cart page, that it takes you to every time you add to cart which I mentioned previously. If you could help me, I would be glad to give you an art print if you see something you would like on my site. I have never ask for something for nothing. I had a serious illness 10 yrs ago, almost died and was left in a wheelchair. I am trying to build my business back up and really need to get my site back up and running with buttons that work since it is my only source of income. If you have the time, I would also appreciate you checking out my new site. In this video you emphasize connecting with the customer and telling them what my artwork can do for them.   18. After getting 30k followers on Instagram. I started a merchandise store for that specific niche audience (specially nerds).

    I'm getting around 4-5 sales a week from that. I don't promote that much because it'll look spammy ( as it's a content account )

    But the problem is my overall conversion rate is around 0.3%

    It's not like, most visit without knowing the designs by blindly clicking on the link in bio. They visit by first looking at the product design mockup I post under ig account. So I guess that means most first liked the design so they clicked in order to buy. And the price is also normal according to market (19$)

    I think it's easy to write descriptions for utility products which actually solve a problem. Like you can include what benefits you'll get or what problems it can solve to make your life easier. But in my case it's just t shirts and hoodies.

    So any suggestions on how to increase conversion rate for my shop 🙁 ?

  19. My site is using .com domain extension and I have targeted India from webmaster tool. Now if I am writing about a thing which is also available in India and Other Countries but I want to target just India, should I include "India" in the permalink also? Or Just putting "India" in content, title, alt tags, headings and keeping the permalink short will do the work? I'm confused!

  21. Man crush Thursday! I am a brand new digital marketer. I write conversion copy and am a digital marketing director and revamping everything they do to get more sales. So far awesome conversion rates. Now to do more of this in my own business and my own website.   23. the job description says that we have to outreach journalists and subject matter experts. To contact them and negotiate with them. That's the only job role. I didn't even understand what they meant by negotiating.

    Actually link building outreach in this journalist case means reaching out to journalists and providing them with a solution to their questions related to our field so that when they publish our content, they will link to us as we are the source.🙄🤔
    So does it mean that we have to pay them for this process?? Or is it that we are paying them so that "they" have to write and publish about us instead of "us" writing to them.
    Is that the "negotiation part" mentioned here
